Jan Visser started his practice in Jeffreys Bay (in the Sandown Complex near Standard Bank) in 1986 as JC Visser & Co.

Only Jan and CW Malan Attorneys were the local attorneys in those years. Attorneys who were involved in Jan’s practices through the years were: Reinier Slabbert, Christo Swanepoel, JP Rossouw and Herman Pieterse. In 2005, Jan also started a practice in Rustenburg, namely Jan Visser Attorneys Inc. His partner in Rustenburg is Elize Strydom. This firm specialize 100% in conveyancing, in other words the transfer of properties and registration of bonds.

About 13 years ago, Jan sold his practice in 22 Schelde Street (still known as Jan Visser Attorneys) to his (that time) assistant, Herman Pieterse. In due course Jan spread his wings and got involved in real estate.

Ten years ago in February 2012, Jan started Kopano Properties with Johan Swiegers and Tonie Botes. He lives, works and manages his businesses in and from Jeffreys Bay and co-manages the Rustenburg practice with Elize Strydom. Although Jan mainly does conveyancing of properties sold by Kopano Properties, he still does legal work for long-established clients and those who insist on his services.

The legal work, as well as Kopano Properties, has grown over the past two years and Jan also started the property management business, Jan Visser Property Management.

With Nel-Maré Stumke, Jan also started an insurance business in association with PK Ferraris from Port Elizabeth.

In 2017, Jan Visser Eiendomme CC was established, where a project of 114 dwellings in Despatch was undertaken along with individual stands in Jeffreys Bay. The development of modern, luxury housing units in Jeffreys Bay was started in 2018.

All the above, as well as other associated businesses, lead to the formation of The Jan Visser Property Group.
